A wonderful books from Copenhagen library, honestly only the best find themselves on the shelves of this amazing library. This book is even more special with some of the best short stories collected from best selling authors for the cause of Breast cancer. Some stories stayed with me more than the others.

Lady Isabella Morpeth’s Receipt Book

A cute lil nugget of nostalgia. A receipt book or an old fashioned name for a recipe is preserved by a 17th century lady of the manor who lived healing people with her home made recipes.

The love story of Miss Havisham - the heartbroken bitter character from Charles Dickens’ Great expectations 

The ministry of whiskey

A satire on religion and goodness. How a good hearted whiskey drinker priest gets caught in the maze of cunning people. 

It’s not only the thoughts 💭 in my mind which are enriched with the words, but many new things that I learn are the perks of reading. 

The new words I learnt which improved my vocabulary. Baron net, Mirth or tautology/ tɔːˈtɒlədʒi/ (the saying of the same thing twice over in different words, generally considered to be a fault of style)

Even the new foods I learnt about, probably the cultural baking which finds its place from their kitchens to their writing - Bee sting cake and suet pudding. 

A must read to support the cause and to spread joy with these pearls of joyful writing.
